About Me Archives

Born in 1988, it takes me a minute to calculate my age when people ask. Graduated college back in 2012 with an art and film degree, I worked shortly on a television series, taught at a preschool, and worked in retail/in an Amazon warehouse before moving to Icheon, South Korea for a year.

Teaching English as a Second Language to my open-hearted-little-monster students taught me a lot about kindness and curiosity. As my co-teacher SH would say, "[Children] are pure of heart." Currently, I continue interacting and talking with the kids I babysit and nanny on my days off. On my days on, I work with my old boss at a mother/daughter owned furniture consignment store.

Writing took off when I was living and blogging in Korea. Over in-person chats, writing is where I feel my voice sounds the best. It is well-articulated and thoughtful. I had to laugh at myself when I realized how uncomfortable I get using talk-to-text. I hope, someday, writing will pay for plane tickets and health insurance, but plane tickets and health insurance are being bought and paid for in this reality, too. Other goals include expanding my latte art abilities as well as advancing my eyebrow game.

Cheers! (*clink*)
